Brené Brown is a well known “Shame” researcher and author of many books and TED talks, etc. She has proven that it is in our vulnerability that we connect and discover our humanity. Lois can help identify areas of our lives where we hide because of shame and feel lonely and depressed. We are hardwired to connect with other people and Lois can help heal those feelings of being isolated and alone.

Brown is a nationally renowned speaker and has a talk with over 12 million views on TED.com. It is called The Power of Vulnerability. Brown has been featured on NPR speaking about Shame, Anxiety, and Social Behavior, along with PBS, CNN,  The Katie Show, and Oprah Winfrey. She has won many teaching awards as well for her outstanding member of faculty.Brené Brown lives with her husband and children in Houston. She is a professor of research at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Brown has spent many years studying shame, courage, vulnerability, and worthiness.
